Plants That Live In The Rainforests

There are many different varieties of plants that live in the rainforests. They are called the rainforests because of the heavy rain all the time, the ground is wet all the time so the plants that live in rainforests live above 30 meters of the ground level. They live in the leafy world known as Canopy. The canopy, which may be over 100 feet (30m) above the ground level. It is made up of the overlapping branches and leaves of the rainforest trees. Some varieties of plants that live there are Orchids, Ferns, Philodendrons, Banana Trees, Rubber Trees and etc. They live in rainforests because they don't need a lot of sunlight and the soil needs to be moist all the time. There the small plants do not get sunlight at all because of the larger trees. So some of the plants have colorful leaves because they don't get sunlight and the colors in the leaves absorb light of their color.
